How to Rent a Boat

The professional yacht charter company offers a variety of services and will answer in the shortest possible period giving the complete and detailed offer for charter. Not only they will offer their charter service, but will provide other services such as accommodation, transfer, advice, suggestions, additional equipment for boats, skipper and crew service and much more. The quality of service is very important. It does not depend on whether you try and contact a small company or a large one. It is the employees’ dedication and kindness that counts, their attention to details.

Provided that you are well experienced and need no advice or suggestions, you can just send a short e-mail with your request in order to get an offer for charter containing following details: charter period, base you would like to start from, type of boat, number of passengers and cabins. You can add some other remarks as well. If you charter a boat for the first time and have no experience at all, you just send as many details as you can and let the company suggest the best possible offer.

The charter company will send you the offer providing each detail from your request. Your next step would be to confirm the booking by sending an e-mail along with your personal data: name, address, passport number and fax number. The company sends you the contract to sign and to resend it back. The booking procedure requires then 30% to 50% of the total price to be deposited onto account and the copy of payment sent by fax. The balance payment needs to be done at the latest 4 weeks before the charter starting date.

If you feel you are competent and could handle the boat yourself, then you need to possess a valid nautical certificate of competence in navigation and VHF license for reasons of safety (the use an operation of VHF radio) issued by the port authority, which are to be brought on board.
