In the Area:
Biograd na Moru dates from the 10th century and has developed into a tourist destination, characterized by beautiful beaches and picturesque bays, in the last fifty years. Biograd has important historical interest as in the 11th century, it was the seat of the Croatian king. Then in 1125 Venetians destroyed Biograd but were not able to gain control for nearly three-hundred years. And finally in 1646 Biograd was again destroyed; this time by the Turks. There are three national parks in the vicinity: Paklenica, Kornati Archipelago and Krka. Telascica Nature Park is also not far.
