Baska Voda is a charming coastal town located on the Makarska Riviera. It's situated 5 km south of Brela, 10 km north of Makarska, and around 50 km along the coast from Split. Baska Voda's pebble beaches and lush pine forests have been drawing visitors for thousands of years-its history dates back 4000 years. The name first appeared in 1688 and the earliest public building was a late baroque church dedicated to St. Lovre. The town's inhabitants have traditionally been involved in agriculture, tourism, fishing and marine activities. Historical sites include the Church of St. Lovre (1750), St. Nikola church (1889), St. Roko church (15th century), Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary (1636), Church of All Saints (1999), and a statue of St. Nikola.
