| 1. When is the best time to sail on Adriatic? |
BACK
TO TOP |
For more experienced sailors, we recommend May, early June and September. This time of year the weather is warm, sea temperature is great for swimming and you’ll avoid the crowds and rush of the high season. Early spring and late autumn are also good sailing times, the weather is pleasantly warm, but the sea temperatures are only for hot-blooded swimmers.
For those less experienced, we recommend summer months – the wind is softer and there are many other boats around.
|
| 2. I don't want to hire a skipper; what licences do I need to navigate a yacht? |
BACK
TO TOP |
To navigate a vessel you are required to have a valid international recreational craft license and a radio certificate. If you don't have them, you need to take a short course and exam to get them in all Port Authorities in Croatia. When renting a vessel, you also need to certify the crew list. All changes to this list must be reported to the Port Authority.
